Inside My Head
inside my head i am a golfer playing with the pro’s
i am hitting it long and hitting close
inside my head
inside my head i am a cheetah
fast and fierce
pouncing on my prey
inside my head
inside my head i am rugby player dashing
past the opposition
i am tackling and scoring tries
Inside my head
The Colours of Harry
most of me is sporty green
bright and fun
sporty and cheerful
as happy as i've
scored a try
this side of me is happy and fun
energetic and restless
fearless and joyful
part of me is dark brown
moody and lazy
grumpy and sad
pout and whine
making me want to slam doors
and scream
Whakarongotai Marae
Whakarongotai Marae
On Friday the Te Poutama syndicate went down to the marae.
we walked down through mahara place before getting greeted on to the marae.
after we were greeted onto the marae we went into the meeting house for a hongi .
next we were aloud to get a snack before we got into our rotations. The rotations were sketching, haka session, pepeha and mihi mihi, history about the marae and the legends.
My favourite rotation was the haka i learnt the story behind it.
The legends were really fun as Aunty Queenie told it with loads of expression
It was my first time going to a marae and I found it really interesting
Marae history
The marae is the only marae on the kapiti coast and it is the focal
point for iwi activities.
