The colours of harry

most of me is sporty green
bright and fun
sporty and cheerful
as happy as i've
scored a try
this side of me is happy and fun
energetic and restless
fearless and joyful

part of me is dark brown
moody and lazy
grumpy and sad
pout and whine
making me want to slam doors
and scream

Inside My Head

inside my head i am a golfer playing with the pro’s
i am hitting it long and hitting close
inside my head

inside my head i am a cheetah
fast and fierce
pouncing on my prey
inside my head

inside my head i am rugby player dashing
past the opposition
i am tackling and scoring tries
Inside my head

The war of horror

Standing in the trenches trying
to stay alive
Sharing cigarettes
then firing at them till
they die
Bullets flying by
my hearts pounding
watching them die
we’re digging all day
then shooting at night
man down
man down
the medics arrived
the next shot hit the turks
then comes the scream as loud as a howl
The guilt fills my body as he falls to the ground
Walking the unforgiving terrain
while moaning in pain
missing my family
now hating the war.
